You can save a post to a queue from the Post Composer. The post will publish automatically according to the schedule of the queue you select.
Before you start
- Create at least one queue from Publish > Queues.
- Make sure the queue has the accounts you want to publish to.
- If the queue belongs to a team, make sure you have permission to add posts to that team queue.
- Prepare the post content, media, and account-specific options in the composer.
Save a post to a queue
- Open the Post Composer.
- Select the accounts and create your post.
- Click the dropdown next to Schedule.
- Select Save to Queue.
- In the Add to Queue window, select one or more queues.
- Click Save.
SocialBu adds the post to the selected queue. It will publish when that queue reaches the next valid publishing slot.
If no queues are available
If the Add to Queue window says no queues are available, go to Publish > Queues and create a queue first. Then return to the composer and choose Save to Queue again.
If you are working in a team and expected to see a team queue, ask the team owner or an admin to confirm that you have the Add posts to queues permission. For related team permission details, see Team Automations and Permissions.
Other ways to add posts to queues
- Bulk Import: add multiple queue posts from a CSV file. See Add Posts to a Queue with Bulk Import.
- Automations: use the Add post to queue action when a supported automation trigger runs. See Complete Guide to SocialBu Automations.
- API or MCP: add posts to queues programmatically from external workflows. See How to use SocialBu via Claude (MCP Integration).
Preview before saving
Use Preview in the composer to review how the post may appear for the selected network or account. If you selected multiple account types, use the preview tabs to switch between networks. The preview is a guide, so the final post may look slightly different on the social network itself.
Saving as a draft
Save as Draft is in the same Schedule dropdown, but drafts are managed separately from queues. To learn more, see Save and Manage Draft Posts in SocialBu.
