SocialBu has separate limits for X/Twitter posts that include a link. These limits help keep publishing reliable and reduce the risk of platform-side restrictions.

A link post means an X/Twitter post that contains a URL in the main post text or in a threaded reply.

Current plan limits

If you are on one of SocialBu's current plans, these X/Twitter link post limits apply:

  • Starter: 4 link posts per day and 40 link posts per month.

  • Growth: 4 link posts per day and 40 link posts per month.

  • Agency: 4 link posts per day and 40 link posts per month.

Older plan limits

If your account is still using an older SocialBu plan, these X/Twitter link post limits apply:

  • Standard: 4 link posts per day and 40 link posts per month.

  • Super: 10 link posts per day and 100 link posts per month.

  • Supreme: 20 link posts per day and 300 link posts per month.

What counts as a link post?

  • A post with any website URL in the text.

  • A post where one or more threaded replies include a URL.

  • Each post or threaded reply with a URL counts separately toward the limit.

For example, if your main X/Twitter post has one link and two threaded replies also include links, that counts as three link posts.

What happens when the limit is reached?

If the limit is reached, SocialBu will stop the X/Twitter link post from publishing and show a message explaining that the X/Twitter link post limit has been reached.

You can publish again after the daily or monthly limit resets, or you can publish an X/Twitter post without a link if it follows the normal publishing rules for your plan.

How to avoid hitting the limit

  • Use links only in posts where they are necessary.

  • Avoid adding the same link to every threaded reply.

  • Plan link-heavy campaigns across multiple days.

  • Use regular text, image, or video posts when a link is not required.
