Managing Posts in "Awaiting Approval": Edit, Preview, Duplicate & More

When your team members create posts that require approval, those posts will appear in the “Awaiting Approval” section under the Publish menu. As a manager or approver, you can take several actions on these posts before they go live.

Accessing the Awaiting Approval Section
To manage pending posts:
Navigate to Publish > Awaiting Approval from the left-hand menu
You’ll see a list of posts awaiting your approval

Actions You Can Perform
Edit a Post
Click the Edit button directly on the post
This opens the post composer so you can make any necessary changes before approval

Preview and Duplicate a Post
Go to the specific post you want to manage in the Awaiting Approval section
Click the three dots (⋮) on the post
From the dropdown, choose:
Preview – to see how the post will look once published
Duplicate – to create a copy of the post for reuse or slight modification

Delete a Post
From the same three-dot menu, click Delete if you want to remove the post
Important Notes
Posts will not be published unless approved
Once a post is approved, it moves to the Scheduled section and can no longer be edited (unless you are the approver)
Email notifications are sent whenever a post is submitted for approval
Only team members with proper permissions can approve or manage these actions
FAQs
Can I edit a post after it’s approved?
No, once a post is approved, it moves to the Scheduled section and cannot be edited unless you are the post-approver.
Will the post creator be notified after approval or rejection?
Currently, email notifications are sent when a post is awaiting approval. Notification upon approval or rejection is not available yet.
Can I approve multiple posts at once?
No, each post must be approved individually through the “Awaiting Approval” section.
Is the Duplicate option available after the post is approved?
No, the duplicate feature is only available while the post is still awaiting approval.
Can I see who created the post in the Awaiting Approval section?
Yes, each post shows the name of the team member who created it.
