Bulk importing posts on YouTube

  1. Connect Your YouTube Account

  • If you haven’t already, go to the Accounts section and connect your YouTube account to SocialBu.

  1. Go to Bulk Import in the Publish Feature

  • Navigate to the Publish section > Bulk Import.

  1. Download the CSV Template

  • Download the ready-to-use CSV file to avoid formatting issues.

  1. Fill in Your Data According to the Template Format

Enter your content details, such as:

  • Title of the video

  • Description (if needed)

  • Media: Direct URL to the video file

  • Account: Name of your connected YouTube channel

  • Publish At: Format: dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm(am/pm)

  • Post as Shorts: Type TRUE in this column if you want to post it as a YouTube Short. Leave it empty for regular videos.

⚠️ Important: It is crucial to ensure that media URLs are direct and publicly accessible. Please refrain from using links that require login or permission access.

  1. Save and Upload Your CSV File

  • Save the file in CSV format with UTF-8 encoding.

  • Upload it back to SocialBu using the Bulk Import section.

  1. Import and Confirm

  • A popup will appear asking you to confirm your import.

  • Click "Import" and all your posts will be successfully added.

Notes:

  • You can upload up to 200 videos/shorts at once using the CSV method.

  • Posting as a Short only works if the video meets YouTube’s Shorts criteria (under 60 seconds, vertical format, etc.).

  • Can I schedule both Shorts and standard videos in the same file?

Yes. Just mark the ones to be posted as Shorts with TRUE in the "Post as Shorts" column.

  • What type of video link works for bulk uploads?

Only direct and public video links (e.g., links from Google Drive with proper access or hosting platforms that offer direct downloads).

  • Can I bulk upload unlisted or private videos?

Currently, bulk uploads are for public videos only. Use platform-specific settings for privacy controls after upload.

  • Will SocialBu publish the Shorts automatically?

Yes. Once scheduled, SocialBu will automatically publish your content at the specified time—no manual steps required.
