Before You Start
Make sure:
You are logged in to your SocialBu account.
You have access to the Curate section.
Your social accounts are connected if you want to publish or schedule curated content.
You have permission to create or schedule posts for the selected team or account.
Curated articles are suggestions. Always review the article before sharing it with your audience.
How to Open Curate
Log in to your SocialBu account.
From the left-hand menu, go to Curate.
Browse the available content suggestions.
Use filters to narrow the results based on your content needs.
You can review article titles, sources, and topics before deciding what to share.

Discover Relevant Articles
Curate helps you find articles that match your selected topics, keywords, or niche. These articles can help you keep your audience updated with useful industry information.
When reviewing curated content, look for articles that are:
Relevant to your audience.
Recent and timely.
From a trustworthy source.
Aligned with your brand voice.
Useful, educational, or interesting.
Avoid sharing articles that are outdated, misleading, off-topic, paywalled, or unrelated to your audience.
Filter Curated Content
Filters help you narrow down the content list so you can find better recommendations faster.

Depending on the available options, you can filter by:
Topics: Find articles related to a specific subject.
Keywords: Search for content around specific words or phrases.
Time range: Show recent articles from a selected period.
Source type: Narrow results by available source categories where supported.
After applying filters, the Curate feed updates to show content that better matches your selection.
Select a Time Range
Use the time range filter when you want recent articles.

Common options may include:
Last 7 days
Last 30 days
Custom date range
Choose a shorter time range for trending or news-style content. Choose a wider range when you want more evergreen content or when the topic has fewer recent articles.
Review Content Before Sharing
Before creating a post from a curated article:
Open the article.
Read enough of the content to confirm it is useful and accurate.
Check the source and publishing date.
Make sure the article is appropriate for your brand and audience.
Avoid sharing restricted, misleading, or low-quality content.
Curate helps you discover content, but you still control what gets posted.
Create a Post From Curated Content
Once you find an article you want to share, you can create a post from it.

General steps:
Select the article you want to use.
Click the option to create or generate a post from the article.
Review the generated post content.
Edit the caption, hashtags, link, and media if needed.
Select the social account or accounts where you want to post.
Publish immediately or schedule the post for later.
Always review and customize the post before publishing so it sounds natural for your brand.
Publish or Schedule Curated Content
After creating a post from a curated article, you can choose how it should go live.

You can:
Publish it immediately.
Schedule it for a specific date and time.
Add it to your normal content workflow.
Send it for approval if your team uses approvals.
Scheduling curated content is helpful when you want to fill gaps in your calendar or maintain a consistent posting rhythm.
Best Practices for Curated Content
To get the best results:
Add your own perspective instead of only sharing the article title.
Explain why the article matters to your audience.
Use a clear and helpful caption.
Credit the original source when appropriate.
Avoid posting too many curated links back to back.
Mix curated content with original posts, product updates, tips, and educational content.
Check links before scheduling.
Curated content works best when it supports your brand’s expertise instead of replacing your original content.
Using Curate With Teams
Team members can use Curate if they have the required permissions.
Depending on your team’s workflow, members may be able to:
Find content ideas.

Common Questions and Troubleshooting
I cannot see the Curate section
This may happen if your plan, role, or workspace permissions do not allow access to Curate.
Try these steps:
Make sure you are logged in to the correct SocialBu workspace.
Ask an admin to confirm your team permissions.
Check whether your plan includes Curate.
Refresh the page or try another browser.
No articles are showing
If Curate shows no results:
Clear or broaden your filters.
Try a wider time range, such as the last 30 days.
Use broader keywords.
Check your internet connection.
Refresh the page.
Some niche topics may have fewer recent articles available.
The results are not relevant
Try adjusting your keywords or topics. Use more specific keywords if results are too broad, or broader terms if results are too narrow.
Example: Instead of only searching “marketing”, try “Instagram marketing”, “small business marketing”, or “social media tips”.
I cannot find recent articles
Use the time range filter and select a recent period such as the last 7 days. If the topic is very specific, try a wider range or a broader keyword.
The article link does not open
This may happen if the source website removed the article, blocks access, requires a login, or has a temporary loading issue.
Try opening another article or searching for a different source. Avoid sharing links that do not open correctly.
The article is paywalled or restricted
Some articles may require a subscription or login. If your audience cannot access the article, it may be better to choose a publicly accessible source.
I created a post, but it does not look right
Review the generated post before publishing. Edit the caption, link preview, hashtags, media, and account selection as needed.
If the link preview does not load correctly, try refreshing the composer, pasting the link again, or adding your own media.
I cannot schedule or publish curated content
Check the following:
Is the social account connected?
Do you have permission to post to that account?
Does the post meet the selected platform’s content requirements?
Is the article link valid?
Is your team approval workflow requiring review first?
If publishing fails, review the error message and reconnect the account if needed.
A team member cannot use Curate
Ask an admin to check the team member’s role and permissions. They may need access to Curate, publishing, account selection, or approval workflows.
Can Curate post automatically?
No. Curated content is not automatically posted without your action. You choose what to share, edit the post, and decide whether to publish now or schedule it for later.
Can I remove or manage saved sources?
Source management depends on the available Curate options in your workspace. If you need help removing an RSS/source entry, contact support with the source URL and a screenshot.
