Set Up an Automation for Instagram Comments

Overview

Use this automation when someone leaves a comment on a connected Instagram account and you want SocialBu to reply or run another action automatically.

Before you start

  • Connect an eligible Instagram account to SocialBu.

  • Make sure the account appears in the trigger account dropdown.

Steps

  1. Go to Automate and create a new automation.

  2. Select Someone leaves a comment as the trigger.

  3. Select the Instagram account that should trigger the automation.

  4. Add optional conditions, such as comment content or Instagram username where available.

  5. Choose the action SocialBu should run. For this trigger, you can send a reply, send an email, publish a post, add a post to a queue, or send an HTTP request.

  6. Save the automation and switch it to Active.

FAQs

Can I send a different reply for different keywords?

Yes. Add condition groups based on comment content, then add the reply action you want for each group.

Can I attach an image to an Instagram comment reply?

No. The Instagram comment reply action currently uses text content.

Can one automation monitor multiple Instagram accounts?

No. Select one trigger account per automation. Duplicate the automation for another account if needed.
