What is an API token?
An API token is like a key that lets other apps connect to your SocialBu account. Tokens expire for security.
When do we email you?
We send two kinds of emails:
1) “Expiring soon” email
You’ll get this up to 7 days before your token expires.
It’s a reminder so you can renew it in time.
2) “Expired” email
You’ll get this after the token has already expired.
At this point, any app using that token will stop working until you create a new one.
How often will you get these emails?
We won’t spam you.
Each type of email is sent at most once every 7 days.
Who receives these emails?
Only users who:
Have a valid, active API token
Have a verified email address
Have a token that is close to expiry or already expired
What should you do?
Go to Settings → Developers and generate a new token.
Update your apps with the new token to keep everything working.
