What is SocialBu Automation?
SocialBu Automations allow you to create custom rules to handle repetitive tasks on your social media accounts—intelligently and automatically. Whether it's replying to messages, filtering comments, or triggering specific actions based on events, Automations help save time, increase consistency, and boost engagement.
How to Create a SocialBu Automation
Follow these steps to set up an automation in your SocialBu account:
Step 1: Open the Automation Section
From the left sidebar menu, click on Automate.

Step 2: Start a New Automation
Click the + New Automation button at the top right corner.

Step 3: Name Your Automation
A pop-up will ask you to name the automation.
Example: If you're creating a rule to auto-reply to Facebook comments, name it something like "Auto-reply to FB Comments".
Click Next to proceed.

Step 4: Automation Setup Page
You’ll now be taken to the main automation configuration page where you define the logic.
Step 5: Select an Event
From the "When" dropdown, choose an event that should trigger the automation.
Events can vary by platform (e.g., receiving a comment, a new message, etc.).

Step 6: Choose the Account and Action
Select the social media account you want the automation to apply to.
Choose an action to take when the event occurs (e.g., reply to a comment, send a message).
Step 7: Define the Action
Fill in the specific details required for the action, such as message text or response content.

Step 8: Add Conditions (Optional but Powerful)
Click Add Condition to limit when the automation triggers.
Example: Only reply if a comment contains the word "price".

Step 9: Save and Monitor
Once set, your automation is live!
You can monitor execution by clicking on the Log tab to view a history of when it was triggered.

Yes, SocialBu supports platform-specific events and actions for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and others.
Can I edit or delete an automation after creating it?
Absolutely. Go to the Automate section, select your automation, and choose Edit or Delete.

This depends on your subscription plan. You can check your plan’s limits in your billing section.
Can I add multiple actions to a single automation?
Yes! You can define multiple actions for a single event.
