In SocialBu, access to social account connections is managed based on user roles within a team. Here's a breakdown of what team members can and cannot do when it comes to connecting or refreshing social media accounts.

Admin Access Required

Only the admin—the person who purchased the SocialBu subscription—has permission to:

  • Connect new social media accounts
  • Refresh existing social accounts that may have expired or disconnected
  • If you're not the admin, you'll see restricted access when attempting these actions.

Limitations for Team Members Without Admin Roles

Team members who are not admins cannot connect or refresh social media accounts that belong to the team. This includes reconnecting accounts that are expired or disconnected. These permissions are exclusive to the admin, who is the person that purchased the SocialBu subscription.

What Can a Team Member Do?

While team members cannot manage accounts connected by the admin, they can:

Add their own social media accounts if they are using a Free Plan

Mastodon

For connecting accounts on other platforms (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Business), admin access or a paid plan is required.
