Understanding the "Awaiting Approval" Feature in SocialBu
The Content Approvals feature in SocialBu allows teams to maintain control and consistency by requiring post approvals before publishing. If a team member creates a post that needs approval, it will appear on the “Awaiting Approval” page for review.
In this article, we will cover:
How content approval works in SocialBu
- When a team member creates a post and sends it for approval, the post moves to the Awaiting Approval page.
- The post will remain there until it is either approved or rejected by the designated approver.
- The post will not be published unless approved.
What happens after approving the post
- Once approved, the post automatically moves to the Scheduled page.
- At this point, the post can no longer be edited—unless the person making the changes is the approver.
What happens after rejecting the post
- The reject option is located next to the approve option.
- You can reject the post and provide a reason for your rejection, which will be shared with your teammates.
- Once you have rejected the post, a pop-up will appear asking you for the reason for the rejection.
Notifications and editing rights
- SocialBu sends an email notification when a post requires approval.
- Team members can edit posts in the Awaiting Approval stage.
- Once approved and scheduled, editing is restricted to the approver only.
