Technical requirements and limitations for each platforms

Character limits

Your posts cannot exceed the maximum allowed content length. Different social networks have different limits and we will tell you if you exceed it. SocialBu also shows you the total number of characters that you can have.

For Instagram

Instagram captions can be up to 2,200 characters long and can contain up to 30 hashtags in the post (this also includes the first-comment if you add that).
If your post is under the character limit and is still showing an error while publishing, the reason may be (but not limited to) one of the following:
  • There is no picture or video attachment with the post
  • The number of hashtags is exceeding 30
  • You have selected unsupported media

For Twitter

The maximum number of characters in your tweet should be 280. If the character limit exceeds 280, you can get an error while publishing your post. For Twitter thread, you can only add up to 50 tweets in a single thread.

For Facebook

Your Facebook post can be up to 63,206 characters long.

For LinkedIn

Your LinkedIn statuses can be up to 700 characters long on company page posts, and 1,300 characters for statuses on individual accounts.

Media attachment

The maximum file upload size for each file is:

Image

You can select any image given that you do not exceed the size limit. Images are also automatically optimized on selection. It is recommended that you optimize the image before uploading it to SocialBu and ideally should be less than 15MB.

Video

SocialBu allows only one video attachment per post and its size should be equal or less than 1000MB.
